520.00 Public Participation/open session.

520.01 clerk updated on the trees along Salterwath Beck PROW, he had been provided with a form by planning for completion by whoever was going to apply to pollard the trees. TPO 232 was in place covering the 4 elder and 6 sycamore trees. Clerk had obtained and circulated the property title map, for one of the properties along Salterwath Beck and that clearly showed the properties boundary line alongside the edge of the beck. Clerk had approached Highways about them pollarding the trees, but they accepted no responsibility as not on Cumberland Council owned land.

520.02 after lengthy discussions the clerk to ask Cumberland planning, based at Allerdale, for details of the TPO order and whose land they were located in when the TPO was granted. Once he had established that fact he could contact a contractor for an estimate for work on the trees, if appropriate.

521.01 both Cllr PM and clerk had attended a Teams based meeting with the local police co-ordinator based in Maryport. There was a new traffic speed gun becoming available, which issues the speeding tickets automatically, so it could be used both by police officers and PCSOs. There is an example of one at Workington at Ramsay Bank. During a discussion clerk instructed to explore costings and planning implications. A park could cost close to a £100,000. A more flat pack type could cost half that amount but its security would be a concern.
